Really nice clean, tutorial, Cameron! And it's so nice to see you utilizing effects/plugins that have been around for a long time than grabbing the next new toy.
Thank you. I’m careful not to get wrapped up in the next new toy. I see too many other motion designers fall into this trap
nice cameron
I love your channels. Can you please do some AE Composting videos. You are so good at it.
Thank you. What sort of compositing are you looking to achieve?
@@MotionScience Wow. Thanks a lot for replying. It can be anything related to composting.
Motion Science, your content has a special place in my heart
Hey! Appreciate that! ❤️
Wow really nice FX!
Am I missing something? Or are the assets are not shared? I don't see links to any assets......
This is what I love most about your work. Such simple layering, and it creates a ton of depth and texture! Would you have any ideas on animating some hair movement for the first image? Just a gentle wave to go with the particle movement. I was thinking, roto the character from the background and then maybe adding a bone system with Duik or something? Curious to see how you might approach that. Thanks for another great video!
You could roto the hair and then use the puppet pin tool. I would try that before going into deep with Duik. Another option is to use AI.
in-sane.
One of the BIGGEST problems PC users face when using ADOBE products is that they have configured their PCs for Gaming, which means they've likely installed a GAME-READY driver instead of a STUDIO driver and game-ready drivers are typically not compatible with (or optimized for) this type of software. So while cpu, gpu and ram might be beyond qualified to run these programs, their driver configurations are creating a bottleneck and actually choking the performance of the software creating an unmanageable workflow. That's something a lot of people who use NVIDIA products don't consider because they've built or configured their system for running 3D graphics but not for creating with tools that require precise computations and dedicated performance resources
dude i love you so much ive been trying to find what the "wiggle (24,1)" was for years
🙏🏻
A M A Z I N G!
🙏🏻
Ofc u need good computer if you want to still be alive once the render is done.
Bro! Now add that projector wiggle, old fashioned effect you did recently, and voila!
Again thanks for this awesome quick tutorial, would love to see more.
Superb!
Thank you! Cheers!

Soo Good.... It's amazing how you transformed a simple image
Thank you! Cheers!
thank you sharing this! really appreciate it
Glad it was helpful!
A subtle depth map animation would have made this even better.
Great suggestion
Very nice! Without wanting to sound like I'm Monday morning quarterbacking, I would have included the glow at the tip of the cigarette and keyframed the smoke to match the glow's rise and fall in intensity, then dialled it down to fit in with the rest of the effects so it didn't stand out unduly. That said, it's a lovely piece of work, really creative with a keen eye for detail.
"keyframed the smoke to match the glow's rise and fall in intensity" - sounds interesting - what do you mean exactly?
@@generaljackson1741 As the glow brightens, the stream of smoke slows, then speeds up again as the glow dies back down.
@@TrevorBaudach love that idea
Thank you :)
Cool stuff
Another great tutorial Cameron, please keep them coming!
As a smaller creator, I've been following your channel for awhile and I am digging the new format in this setup you got!
Thanks!
Thank youuuu
Very cool video (with animated annotations) ! Thanks ! 🙂
can anyone comment or like my comment to remenber me to watch later please?
I got an intel 13900K and AE is taking forever to render and preview, and it is showing only 57% of RAM, what's the deal here?
Could be several factors contributing to the slow performance-number and size of layers, effects, etc. i would suggest looking at the composition profiler > render time in your timeline.
I don't understand where you got the burn overlay from. You don't put any download link or anything.
where did box 4 come from
This is soo crasyy

No reason to overthink it: curves/levels and transparency does it 99% of time. Blending mode: add. Also time remapping for time sync.
